Core Sector:

In Core Sector programme, various Minor Irrigation projects are undertaken for creating additional Irrigation Potential out of the Budget provision. In this programme, various new schemes and renovation/rejuvenation of state owned schemes are undertaken, like

Ground Water Schemes:

1. Heavy Duty Tube Well (HDTW)
2. Medium Duty Tube Well (MDTW)
3. Light Duty Tube Well (LDTW) (E) / Hybrid (Electrical & Solar operated),
4. Shallow Tube well, (E) / Hybrid (Electrical & Solar Operated)
5. Pump Dug Well (E) / Hybrid (Electrical & Solar operated) etc.

Surface Water Schemes :

1. Various River Lift Irrigation Schemes like Major, Midi, Mini, (Electric / Solar) & Micro (Solar)
2. Excavation / Re-excavation of Water Harvesting Tanks, Water Detention Structure(WDS), Check Dams, Surface Flow Minor Irrigation Scheme(SFMIS) etc.

Solar Micro Irrigation & Other Schemes:

1. Solar Powered Sprinkler Irrigation Schemes (SPSIS), Hydram & various solar power operated Minor Irrigation Scheme.
